Remote learning

During these current uncertain times, if children cannot attend school, remote learning is provided for all year groups. This is all uploaded on Class Dojo (or Tapestry for EYFS) daily and year group staff will comment on this throughout the day. Remote learning consists of virtual lessons with teachers, online activities, online worksheets and class stories, and covers the following subjects:

  • A daily challenge

  • Phonics or grammar

  • Arithmetic

  • Mathematics

  • Reading

  • Curriculum

  • A daily story

We have tried to ensure that parents do not need access to worksheets where possible; however, if you are struggling to access any part of the remote learning, please contact the school and we will do our best to help.

Throughout each day, the staff within each phase will comment on uploaded work, answer questions and queries and support learning through the class story page on Class Dojo. If you have any questions about your child's learning, please comment on Class Dojo and this will be answered promptly.

It is an expectation that all children complete the daily learning while they cannot attend school. We do, however, understand that different families are in different circumstances in these strange times, so please find the way that works for you.

Here are some pictures of the staff at Grange in action delivering daily virtual lessons.

While most of the learning set by the class teachers will be in pre-recorded teacher videos uploaded on Class Dojo and Tapestry, there may be times where they direct children to other sites. The sites you may be asked to access are linked below. The class teachers will provide you with login details when the websites are needed.
