World Book Day

We had a really fantastic day for World Book Day. It was great to see everybody in their costumes of their favourite book characters and to see a sea of characters in assembly. Everyone in the school took part in 'Mystery Reader' - the children were shown lots of different books and they had to decide on which book they would like read to them without knowing which adult had chosen it. It was lovely to see a mixture of children in each reading space! The children did lots of different book-related activities and the children in years 3-6 even had a session with a visiting author. What a great day!
